Question: If not inconvenient to you, answer, please, what’s the difference between the drilling rigs of IG "Generation" from the ones of the other manufacturers?

Answer:  IG "Generation" on the territory of the «UPЕТ» enterprise (Romania) and «Bulanash engineering plant» (Sverdlovsk region) manufactures different in construction drilling rigs and units for well servicing:

  • mobile
  • cluster units;
  • fixed drilling rigs.

Mobile (self-propelled rigs) drilling rigs series TD block-modular on autochassis with hook load capacity from 80 up 250 ton-force designed for drilling and servicing of the operating wells depth up to 10000 m.

  • block-modular units are ready-to-operate with the possibility of transportation on public roads;
  • central automated system and system of derrick unit aligning in the process of drilling.

Cluster block-modular train drilling rigs with hook loading from 180 up to 320 ton-force designed for drilling of well clusters with depth up to 5000 m.

  • drawworks unit (DWU) and train unit in the process of hole-drilling in on-site treatment moves on the guides or DWU moves on guides, and other blocks are fixed and connected with DWU quick-released supply lines;
  • units on the demand of the Customer can be completed with top drive (type (TOP DRIVE).

Fixed block-modular drilling rigs with hook loading from 200 up to 450 ton-force designed for drilling of exploratory and operating wells on oil and gas depth up to 7200 m.

  • units are completed with the drive of the main connections diesel with mechanical transmission, and also with independent regulated electrical transmission with automotive force protective system;
  • Construction of the units allows replace derrick units of different types on derrick stand.

Besides that, all drilling rigs of IG «Generation» are provided:

  • Cable evacuation chain of derrick man in emergency situation;
  • Ecologically safe closed system of circulation of drilling mud circulation with tapping of drillings outside the drilling rig in transport capacities.

Question:  What’s the difference of the pump UNB-600 from the pump UNB-600А? Both pumps have plunger cone planting on the rod?

Answer:  The pump UNB-600А differs from the pump UNB-600 that it has pressure safety valve, which was taken from the pump UNBТ-950. Rod planting in pumps series UNB is similar-cone.

Question: If it is possible, explain the typical range of oil processing units, in plants with external heater where the special heaters are used?
Answer: Block oil processing units – UPN are of two types of technological workflow:
А – with built-up heating of the feed stock;
Б – with external (self-contained heater) heater.

Units from the drawing А technologically include regulating and measure block, feedstock heating section, technological part, in which the division of the heated feedstock is made on gas, oil and water.

Units from the drawing B feedstock heating are made with serial heaters type типа PPG, PP, PBТ or PNК depending on productivity and technological demands. Unit UPN-3000, for example, is completed with 2 heaters PP-1,6 on parallel circuit. Unit automatic system controls the self-contained heater according to operating cycle of UPN.

Standard series of the oil processing units includes: UPN -250, UPN -500, UPN -1000, UPN -3000, where the numeric part corresponds the productivity t/day.
Question: Good day! Is it possible to get the information about the differences of tube heaters type PTB and АКPN?
Answer: Tube heaters of direct heating of oil and crude oil emulsions type PTB-10А, PTB -10Э, АКPN constructively are made in one scheme, which includes: furnace bottom, heat exchanging block with 4 burning chambers and worm pipe sections from smooth-wall tubes and finned tubes; air ventilation unit; block of instrument piping, and also a flue gas duct.
Furnace PTB -10Э differs from the furnace PTB -10А by additional row of production worm pipes, and also a worm pipe for fuel heating, controlled air ventilators, bigger surface of explosive valves, and electrical diagram of automatic control (in PTB -10А is a pneumatic control scheme). So, furnace PTB -10E has a capacity 85% against 70% in furnace PTB -10А, productivity consequently 500 and 416 t/h, security service and operation safety is much higher.
Unit for oil heating and oil emulsions АКPN is a result of further updating of the units PTB -10. It differs from the furnace PTB -10E:
  • Worm pipes in the heat exchangers are spiral ribbed;
  •  for the purpose of alignment of a thermal field in zones of contact of hot gases with worm pipes recirculation of flue gases is applied on all volume heat-exchanging chamber;
  • to improve the process the scheme of twisting of air stream brought in a zone of burning of fuel gas is applied.
  • Besides the microprocessor system of automation on the basis of DСКМ is introduced, providing control of technological process in operatorless mode, including in a united technological chain with UPN.
Question: Inform, please, about the advantages of ground flaring systems of IG «Generation».
Answer:  IG «Generation» manufactures ground flaring systems and enclosed flaring systems.
Ground flaring systems (systems) are manufactured with tips – diameter from 50 up to 1300 mm, shaft- height from 10 up to 80 m.
The main advantages of grounded flaring systems of IG «Generation» are:
  • Highly-reliable pilot ignition system.
Reliability is provided by offbeat circuit design signal injection for ignition, specifically, cable line from the joint (cabin) flare control is laid up to the channel with copper cable type МКESH, КVVG. It allows cutting down the expenses on cable products. Special armored cable with thermal insulation is laid in the channel from high-voltage generator to ignition plugs (up to 200˚С). According to this flame control thermocouple is switched on without earth contact. In flaring systems of IG "Generation" they don’t use «running fire» for pilots’ ignition.
  • Special construction of the flame stabilizer, excluding the breaking off and flame extinguishing under discharge fluctuation of burned gas, sharp variations of the ambient atmosphere.
  • Original construction of the shield is used, excluding the flame contact with tip under cross wind. This approach prolongs the operating life of the tip.

Question: Inform, please, about the production life index before maintenance overhaul of cogenerative plants manufactured by IG «Generation».

Answer:  First overhaul period of electrical power plant and mini-power plant is:
  • With dynamotor «Caterpillar» - up to 70000 machine hours;
  • With dynamotor «CHIDONG» - up to 55000 machine hours.
Recommended operational conditions of generating sets, designed for emergency power without overload, not more than 550 machine hours a year.
Question: Tell, please, what is in common and what are the differences between tube heat exchangers? Thanks.
Answer:  Shell and tube heat exchangers are designed for heating, cooling and liquid condensation, gas and steam condensation and its mixtures in petrochemical, oil and gas and other industries.
Constructively they have case, where the tube heat exchanger of different design is placed (crate):
  • Units with stable tube plates and expansion pipe. Case diameter is from 150 up to 1400 mm, working pressure 1-2,5 МPа, number of strokes is from 1 up to 4, tube plate diameter is 20; 25 mm. Material: steel.
Such heat exchanger is made from titanium ВТ1-0 and is horizontal and vertical. Case diameter is from 273 up to 800 mm; working pressure 1-1,6 МPа; tube plate diameter is 25; 38 мм; number of strokes 1-6;
  • Floating-head unit with case diameter from 630 up to 1400 mm, working pressure 1-2,5 МPа, number of strokes 2; 4; 6, tube plate diameter 25 mm, equiangular triangle or square situated. Material: steel.
  • Unit with U- shape heat exchanging tubes case diameter is from 325 up to 1400 mm, working pressure 1,6-6,3 МPа, one-pass, tube plate diameter 16; 20; 25 mm, equiangular triangle or square situated. Material: steel.
Question: What’s the difference between steam block boiler plants series PKN and UKM?
Answer:  Modular steam boiler plant series PKN-2(GМ) constructively consists of one transportable module ready-to-operate, including steam boiler Е-1,0-0,9 with burner (mostly) that works on associated gas and oil, water treating plant type VTU-1, steam pump, flue gas duct. The plant is performed in dimensions, convenient for placing on the drilling site at drilling of wells on oil and gas and convenient transportation by auto and railway transportation.

Block-modular boiler plant series UКМ – of wide standard series from 1,0 to 12,5 tons steam/h manufactured as automatically controlled (without constant presence of personnel), also with operator control, according to with personnel facilities an utility areas, water-treatment system, respond with physical and chemical structure of source water.
Boiler plants series UКМ designed to work on gas, liquid or solid fuel. Completed with boilers: water-tube boilers type Е-1,0-0,9; Е-1,6-0,9; Е-2,5-0,9, fire-tube boilers type Еm-1,6-0,9; Еm-2,5-0,9. Such boiler plants are equipped with automatic system with dispatcher’s supervisory control (ASDSC), which allows using it by interlinking with central control room.
